Position: Fleet Operations Manager – Houston, TX
We are looking for a driven and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to support the VP of Operations in overseeing our Houston fleet. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence in transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the VP of Operations in managing daily transportation activities.
- Oversee fleet operations including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and dispatch coordination.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and support team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize in-house and external vehicle repairs.
- Conduct daily key audits and ensure accurate vehicle inventory tracking.
- Manage the onboarding and decommissioning process for fleet vehicles.
- Work closely with Driver Services and Safety teams to maintain compliance with driver, vehicle, and drug & alcohol program requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fleet or transportation operations management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems and tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
