Washington State Department of Transportation’s (WSDOT) Northwest Region (NWR) is seeking a Lead Project Delivery Environmental Specialist to guide and support regional teams in delivering transportation projects that comply with federal, state, tribal, and local environmental requirements. This role will provide training, technical reviews, and policy interpretation, while also serving as backup to the SnoKing Fish Passage Environmental Manager. By preparing, managing, and reviewing environmental documents, permits, and approvals, this position ensures compliance with the National and State Environmental Policy Acts and helps advance WSDOT’s mission to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation options. Successful candidates will bring strong skills in environmental compliance, policy interpretation, technical review, and team leadership.
