Rehabilitation Physical Therapist – Travel Position Location: Gunnison, CO Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8s Days Pay: $2,355/week Job Description We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join a rehabilitation facility in Gunnison, CO, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will assess patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services focused on restoring mobility, improving strength, and enhancing independence. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and experienced in rehabilitation settings. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient functional abilities and therapy needs.
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams.
• Provide therapeutic interventions such as gait training, balance activities, strengthening, and mobility exercises.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, safety practices, and home exercise programs.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
• Promote recovery, independence, and improved quality of life through evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Colorado (or compact license).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience in rehabilitation settings.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to therapy.
