WATER AND SEWER TECHNICIAN

City of Grosse Pointe
Position open for a full-time Water and Sewer Technician. Completes routine and specialized maintenance and repairs to the City’s water, sewer and stormwater systems. Reads & repairs water meters, and carries out activities related to sprinkling systems, water features, cross connection program, fire hydrants & pump station. Responds to water & sewer complaints, and mark locations of utilities. The successful applicant for the Water Technician position will be expected to obtain State Of Michigan S4 certification, and continue to progress on further certifications. Responds to water & sewer emergencies including after hours, weekends and holidays. Can be expected to also perform the duties and functions of a Public Service Worker in the Public Service Department, as assigned. Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen at least 18 yrs old with a valid MI driver’s license with CDL Class B w/ air brakes endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
