Senior Boiler Technician (San Francisco Metro)

We’re seeking a Senior Boiler Technician in San Francisco Metro to keep high-pressure steam systems running safely, efficiently, and without interruption.
Impact
Maintain safe operations through strict safety protocols.
Deliver steady, reliable steam to support building systems.
Improve performance through combustion tuning and system optimization.
Ensure full compliance with safety, emissions, and inspection standards.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers and support systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on burners, pumps, and controls.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
Tune combustion systems for safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Log system performance and maintenance activity.
Manage boiler water chemistry and scheduled blowdowns.
Follow LOTO, OSHA, and all applicable safety procedures.
Support certification inspections and contractor coordination.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
5+ years of experience with high-pressure steam boilers (Cleaver-Brooks, Miura, Raypak, Babcock & Wilcox).
Deep knowledge of boiler controls, combustion systems, and ASME code.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
EPA 608 Universal Certification.
OSHA 30-hour certification.
Technical training in HVAC or mechanical systems.
Experience with building automation or boiler management systems.
